Our History
The journey began in 2006. Chef Sathish Kumar and his wife, Keerthana moved to the region from the South of India after he had cooked all over India and learnt many styles and classic curry flavours. On the way he worked as a chef at the Singapore Marriott for three years and completed his Masters Degree In Culinary Arts.
While in Singapore Sathish achieved the honour of being awarded a gold medal and best apprentice in the Singapore Culinary college at Johnson and Wales University.
On arrival to the South West, Sathish cooked in top local restaurants at Bunker Bay Resort and Cullen Wines before deciding to follow has passion and begin his own family business in Spice Odysee.
By combining Sathish's extensive knowledge and Keerthana's passed down home cooked recipes, Spice Odysee has created the perfect blend of traditional Indian curry dishes and are proud to offer them to the people of Dunsborough, Busselton and Margaret River.
Spice Odysee Curry Van
Our Spice Odysee Curry Van has been operating in the Busselton, Dunsborough and Margaret River area since 2010. The van also operates at various shows and festivals as well as being available to cater for private functions.
We serve a number of dishes in our curry van including favourites like: Butter Chicken, Vindaloo Beef Curry, Lamb Korma and our ever popular vegetarian Dhal.
The curry van has been an instant success as locals and tourists alike spread the word about his excellent curries. Before long he was given highly positive reviews in magazines like Gourmet Traveler and the QANTAS inflight magazine as well as local press.

Spice Odysee Hidden Kitchen
With customers continually expressing a desire to enjoy his curries in a Busselton restaurant; Sathish opened his own restaurant Spice Odysee: The Hidden Kitchen in 2017. As expected, it was an instant success with both locals and tourists flocking to the curry restaurant to sample a wider range of Sathish's masterpieces.
With a larger menu than possible in the Curry Van, Sathish has been able to dig deep into his recipe book and bring new tastes and flavours never before available in the South West with some incredible traditional Indian fare.
Sathish and his family welcome you the The Hidden Kitchen on Caves Road in Busselton where you can experience the joy of fresh food cooked with love. But make sure you reserve your table to avoid disappointment as we regularly fill every table.
